First Choice Physical Therapy offers cold laser therapy utilizing the FDA approved Microlight 830 Cold Laser to deliver ultraviolet light.  Cold laser therapy is designed to speed the healing process of damaged tissues by stimulating the tissues at the microcellular (deepest) level.  This painless treatment approach can penetrate the tissues up to 2 inches and is safe for immediate use on all types of injuries.  Patients often have positive results in as little as 2 treatments while total treatments needed varies by individual.

Injuries appropriate for treatment include but are not limited to sprains, strains, contusions, wounds, tendonitis, edema/swelling from injury or post-surgery, carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fascitis, RSD, headaches, and sports injuries. 

The treatment is painless and usually takes between 15-20 minutes depending upon the location and type of injury.  Very few contraindications apply which prevent treatment with cold laser and include 1)taking medications that cause sensitivity to ultraviolet or sunlight, 2)pregnancy 3)an active cancer and 4)treatment to the eye.

Cost of cold laser treatment is $30/session or packages can be purchased at 5/$125.  Currently insurance does not reimburse for cold laser treatment so we have priced the treatment to make it affordable for most patients.  A prescription for physical therapy is still required secondary to state practice laws governing physical therapy.  Many physicians are familiar with cold laser therapy and refer their patients specifically for this treatment technique.  If your physician is not familiar with cold laser therapy, we will be happy to provide information.
